AROUND AUSTRALIA 2008

The people around us in the caravan park were all very friendly and inclusive and we had many activities together which were always lots of fun.
We all went down to Cable Beach for happy hour and sunset and never tire of watching the beautiful camel faces as they walk up and down the beach.
One night we all decided to have dinner down on the beach together. There were about 60 people in all and everyone came equipped for the evening including lights, BBQs and generators. It was quite cold once the sun set so Mike organised to have a fire on the beach for the next few occasions. It was quite a deal to organise with the council and contain and remove the fire when we finished for the evening.
Mid July our bushtracker friends, John and Rhonda, arrived and set up in the spot next to us. We plan to travel to Kalumburu and then down the west coast together after we leave Broome.
Mike’s course on photography gave him the desire to explore with his camera and night photos of town and Roebuck Bay and photos in the fog were a must and I thought that they were great.
Out next dinner on Cable Beach was an Hawaiian night and was great. Everyone got into the spirit of the night and because we had the warmth of the fire people stayed longer and chatted. We started off the evening in light summer clothes but by the end of the evening we were in track suits and winter jackets around the fire.
